Deception begins with the questioning of the Word of God. The crafty serpent was able to deceive Eve by confusing her dependence on the God’s very words for man to stay away from the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Often times, the root cause of our own deception is when we loose our confidence in the Word of God. There certainly may be times when we read things in Scripture and we wonder whether we should do what it says and if our confidence is truly in the Word of God, doing what it says shouldn’t be a problem!
